عَنْ جَابِرٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم دَخَلَ عَلَى أُمِّ السَّائِبِ أَو أُمِّ المُسَيّبِ فَقَالَ مَا لَكِ يَا أُمَّ السَّائِبِ ـ أَو يَا أُمَّ المُسَيَّبِ ـ تُزَفْزِفِينَ ؟ قَالَتْ : الحُمَّى لاَ بَارَكَ اللهُ فِيهَا فَقَالَ لاَ تَسُبِّي الحُمَّى فَإِنَّهَا تُذْهِبُ خَطَايَا بَنِي آدَمَ كَمَا يُذْهِبُ الكِيْرُ خَبَثَ الحَدِيدِ رواه مسلم
On the authority of Jabir that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, entered upon Umm al-Sa’ib or Umm al-Musayyab and said, “What is the matter with you, Umm al-Sa’ib or Umm al-Musayyab?” Are you getting married? She said: Fever, may God bless it. He said, “Do not take away the fever, for it takes away the sins of the children of Adam just as the kettle takes away the sins.” Iron slag narrated by Muslim
