وَعَن بُرَيدَةَ قَالَ : كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم يُعَلِّمُهُمْ إِذَا خَرَجُوا إِلَى المَقَابِرِ أنْ يَقُولَ قَائِلُهُمْ السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ أهلَ الدِّيَارِ مِنَ المُؤْمِنينَ وَالمُسلمينَ وَإنَّا إنْ شَاءَ اللهُ بِكُمْ لَلاَحِقونَ أسْألُ اللهَ لَنَا وَلَكُمُ العَافِيَةَرواه مسلم
On the authority of Buraidah, he said: The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, used to teach them, when they went out to the cemeteries, that the one who said them should say, “Peace be upon you, people of the land among the believers.” And the Muslims, and we, God willing, will join you. I ask God to grant us and you well-being. Narrated by Muslim.
