Hadith #38101
قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: (لا يتمنين أحدكم الموت، فإنه إن كان محسنا ليزداد حسناته، وإن كان أثما ليتوب). (البخاري 5673، 7235) وفي رواية أخرى لمسلم قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: (لا يتمنين أحدكم الموت، ولا يدعو عليه أحد قبل أن يأتيه، فإنه إذا مات انقطع عمله، ولا يزيد المؤمن في عمره إلا الخير). (مسلم 6995)
Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said, "None of you should wish for death. For if he is virtuous, he will probably increase his virtue. And if he is a sinner, he will be able to repent (from sin)." (Bukhari 5673, 7235) In another narration by Muslim, Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said, "Let none of you wish for death, and let none pray for it before it comes. For when he dies, his deeds will cease. But the life of a believer will only be increased by goodness." (Muslim 6995)
