Hadith #38107
فلما أصاب عم رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أتاه. فلما تمنى العباس الموت، قال له رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: "يا عم، لا تتمن الموت، فإنك إن كنت رجلا صالحا، وطال عمرك، ستكثر من الخير، ذلك الذي لك". ميمون وإذا كنت خاطئًا وحصلت على المزيد من الحياة، فسوف تحصل على فرصة للتوبة من الذنب، فذلك خير لك. فلا تتمنين الموت." (الحاكم 1254، رواه الأحكام، الألباني ج4 ص، الحديث صحيح)
When the uncle of the Messenger of God was afflicted, he came to him. When Abbas expressed his wish for death, Allah's Messenger said to him, "O uncle! Do not wish for death. For if you are a good man and have a long life, you will be able to do more and more good deeds; that which is for you." auspicious And if you are a sinner and get more life, you will get a chance to repent from sin, so that is good for you. So don't wish for death." (Hakem 1254, reported by Ahkamul, Albani 4 p., the hadith is sahih)
