Hadith #38759
وعن عثمان بن عفان رضي الله عنه قال‏:‏ سمعت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول‏:‏ ‏ "‏ما من امرئ مسلم تحضره صلاة مكتوبة فيحسن وضوءها وخشوعها وركوعها إلا كانت كفارة لما قبلها من الذنوب مالم تؤتَ كبيرة وذلك الدهر كله‏"‏ ‏(‏‏(‏رواه مسلم‏)‏‏)‏‏.‏
On the authority of Othman bin Affan, may God be pleased with him, he said: I heard the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, say: “There is no Muslim person who attends a prescribed prayer and performs his ablution, humility, and bowing well except that it is an expiation for the sins that preceded it, unless major sins were committed, and that is for an entire eternity” ((Narrated by Muslim)).
