Hadith #38850
وعن أنس رضي الله عنه قال كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يفطر قبل أن يصلي على رطبات، فإن لم تكن رطبات فتميرات فإن لم تكن تميرات حسا حسوات من ماء‏.‏ ‏(‏‏(‏رواه أبو داود والترمذي وقال‏:‏ حديث حسن‏)‏‏)‏‏.‏
On the authority of Anas, may God be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, would break his fast before praying with fresh dates. If there were not fresh dates, then dates, and if there were not dates, then a handful of water. ((Narrated by Abu Dawud and Al-Tirmidhi, who said: A good hadith)).
