Riyad as-Salihin — Hadith #38863

On the authority of Umm Ammarah Al-Ansariyya, may God be pleased with her, that the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, entered upon her and she offered him food, so he said, “Eat.” She said, “I am fasting.” Then the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said, “The angels pray over the fasting person when he eats with him until they finish,” and he may have said, “Until they are satisfied.” (Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi, who said: Hassan hadith).
