Hadith #39853
قال: جاءني النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم ذات يوم. قال: فما عندكم؟ قلت: لا (لا على الإطلاق). قال (عليه السلام) فإني أصوم! ثم جاءني يوما آخر (عليه السلام). (فقال ما عندكم من طعام) قلت يا رسول الله! لقد جاءت هدية "هايز" لنا. فقال (عليه السلام): تعالوا أروني. أنا الصباح وأنا صائم منذ ذلك الحين. ثم أكل صلى الله عليه وسلم التبن. (مسلم)[1]
He said, One day the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, came to me. He said, What (food) do you have? I said, no (not at all). He (peace be upon him) said, then I will fast (today)! Then another day he (Peace be upon him) came to me. (He asked, what food do you have?) I said, O Messenger of Allah! The gift of 'Hays' has come for us. He (peace be upon him) said, "Come, show me." i am morning I have been fasting since. Then he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ate hays. (Muslim)[1]
