Hadith #39878
وَعَنْ جَابِرٍ أَنَّ النَّبِىَّ ﷺ كَانَ لَا يَنَامُ حَتّٰى يَقْرَأَ: ﴿الٓمٓ تَنْزِيْلُ﴾ وَ ﴿تَبَارَكَ الَّذِىْ بِيَدِهِ الْمُلْكُ﴾ رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالتِّرْمِذِىُّ وَالدَّارِمِىُّ. وَقَالَ التِّرْمِذِىُّ: هٰذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ. وَكَذَا فِىْ شَرْحِ السُّنَّةِ. وَفِى الْمَصَابِيْحِ : غَرِيْبٌ
And on the authority of Jabir that the Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, would not sleep until he recited: “The Messenger of God” and “Blessed is He in whose hand is the dominion” narrated by him. Ahmad, Al-Tirmidhi, and Al-Darimi. Al-Tirmidhi said: This is an authentic hadith. The same applies to explaining the Sunnah. And in the lamps: strange
