Hadith #40555
وعن أبي سعيد الخدري، رضي الله عنه قال‏:‏ قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ "‏ ما من عبد يصوم يومًا في سبيل الله إلا باعد الله بذلك اليوم وجهه عن النار سبعين خريفًا‏"‏ ‏(‏‏(‏متفق عليه‏)‏‏)‏
On the authority of Abu Saeed Al-Khudri, may God be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said “There is no servant who fasts a day for the sake of God except that God will remove his face on that day from the Fire by seventy distances.” (Agreed upon)
