Hadith #40572
وعن جابر بن عبد الله رضي الله عنهما قال‏:‏ جيء بأبي إلى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قد مثل به فوضع بين يديه، فذهبت أكشف عن وجهه فنهاني قوم فقال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم‏:‏ ‏"‏ما زالت الملائكة تظله بأجنحتها” ‏(‏‏(‏متفق عليه‏)‏‏)‏‏.‏
On the authority of Jaber bin Abdullah, may God be pleased with them both, he said: My father was brought to the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and he was mutilated and placed in his hands. So I went to uncover his face, but a group of people forbade me, and the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “The angels continue to shade him with their wings” ((Agreed upon)).
