Hadith #40625
وعن ابن مسعود رضي الله عنه قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم :
" إن الصدق يهدي إلى البر، وإن البر يهدي إلى الجنة، وإن الرجل ليصدق حتى يكتب عند الله صديقًا، وإن الكذب يهدي إلى الفجور، وإن الفجور يهدي إلى النار، وإن الرجل ليكذب حتى يكتب عند الله كذابًا" ((متفق عليه)).
On the authority of Ibn Masoud, may God be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said:
“Honesty leads to righteousness, and righteousness leads to Paradise, and indeed a man is truthful until he is recorded with God as a friend, and lying leads to immorality, and immorality leads to Hell, and indeed a man lies until he is recorded with God as a liar” (Agreed upon).
