Musnad Ahmad — Hadith #45817

Ali bin Abdullah told us, Muhammad bin Maan Al-Ghafari told me, Dawud bin Khalid bin Dinar told me that he and a man called He has Abu Yusuf from Bani Taim, on the authority of Rabi’ah bin Abi Abdul Rahman, may God be pleased with him. He said, “I have many hadiths, but Rabi’ah ibn al-Hudair said, and he was referring to Talha ibn Ubaid.” By God, he never heard Talha narrate anything on the authority of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, other than a single hadith. I said to him, “What is he?” Talha said to me, “We went out with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, until we supervised the Harra and Qim. He said, “So we approached it, and behold, there were graves in Mahania. We said, ‘O Messenger of God, these are the graves of our brothers.’ He said, ‘The graves of our companions.’” Then we went out until when we came to the graves of the martyrs, the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “These are the graves of our brothers.”
