Hadith #45971
On the authority of Al-Mughirah bin Shu’bah, may God be pleased with him, he said: I was with the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, on a journey one night, and he said to me: “Do you have any water?” I said: Yes, so he got off his mount and walked until he disappeared in the black of the night. Then he came and I emptied Ali of the medication. He washed his face, and he was wearing a woolen cloak. He was unable to remove his arms from it until he took them out from the bottom of the cloak, so he washed them. His arms and wiped his head, then I leaned down to remove his socks He said: “Leave them, for I brought them in clean,” and wiped them over them. ((Agreed upon)) And in a narration: He is wearing a Syrian robe with tight sleeves. And in a narration: This incident occurred in the Battle of Tabuk.
