وعن أنس رضي الله عنه، قال: كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ، يفطر من الشهر حتى نظن أن لا يصوم منه، ويصوم حتى نظن أن لا يفطر منه شيئًا، وكان لا تشاء أن تراه من الليل مصليا إلا رأيته، ولا نائمًا إلا رأيته. ((رواه البخاري)).
On the authority of Anas, may God be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, would break his fast during the month until we thought that he would not fast from it, and he would fast until we thought that he would not break his fast at all from it, and you would not want to see him at night praying unless you saw him, or sleeping unless you saw him. ((Narrated by Al-Bukhari)).
