Hadith #46388
وعن عبد الله بن عمرو بن العاص رضي الله عنهما قال‏:‏ سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول‏:‏ ‏"‏إن الله لا يقبض العلم انتزاعًا ينتزعه من الناس ولكن يقبض العلم بقبض العلماء حتى إذا لم يبقِ عالمًا، اتخذ الناس رءوسًا جهالا، فسئلوا فأفتوا بغير علم، فضلوا وأضلوا‏:‏ ‏(‏‏(‏متفق عليه‏)‏‏)‏‏.‏
On the authority of Abdullah bin Amr bin Al-Aas, may God be pleased with them both, he said: I heard the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, say: “God does not seize knowledge by snatching it from the people, but He seizes knowledge by seizing the scholars, until when no scholar remains, the people take ignorant people as their leaders, and they are asked and give fatwas without knowledge, and they go astray and go astray: ((Agreed upon)).
