Riyad as-Salihin — Hadith #46424
Hadith #46424
On the authority of Abu Waqid Al-Harith bin Awf, may God be pleased with him, that while the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, was sitting in the mosque, and the people were with him, two people came to the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and one went and stood over the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him. One of them saw an opening in the circle, so he sat in it. As for the other, he sat behind them, and as for the third, he turned away and left. When the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, finished, He said: No I will tell you about the three people: As for one of them, he sought refuge with God, and God gave him shelter. As for the other, he was ashamed and God was ashamed of him. As for the other, he turned away, so God turned away from him. (Agreed upon)
