Hadith #46526
On the authority of Abu Saeed Al-Khudri, may God be pleased with him, on the authority of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, he said: “Beware of sitting in the streets.” They said: O Messenger of God, we do not have the right to talk in our gatherings. So the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “Then if you refuse anything but sitting, then give the road its due rights.” They said: What is the right of the road, O Messenger of God? He said: “Lowering your gaze, refraining from harm, returning greetings, and doing good And forbidding evil.” (Agreed upon.)
