حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلاَمٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم: أَيُّكُمْ مَالُ وَارِثِهِ أَحَبُّ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ مَالِهِ؟ قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، مَا مِنَّا مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلاَّ مَالُهُ أَحَبُّ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ مَالِ وَارِثِهِ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم: اعْلَمُوا أَنَّهُ لَيْسَ مِنْكُمْ أَحَدٌ إِلاَّ مَالُ وَارِثِهِ أَحَبُّ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ مَالِهِ، مَالُكَ مَا قَدَّمْتَ، وَمَالُ وَارِثِكَ مَا أَخَّرْتَ.
Muhammad bin Salam told us, he said: Abu Muawiyah told us, he said: Al-A’mash told us, on the authority of Ibrahim Al-Taymi, on the authority of Al-Harith bin Suwayd, on the authority of Abdullah said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: Which of you is more beloved to him the wealth of his heir than his own wealth? They said: O Messenger of God, There is none of us whose wealth is more beloved to him than the wealth of his heir. So the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: Know that there is none of you among you except the wealth of his heir. More beloved to him than his wealth is what you give back, and the wealth of your heir what you give back.
