Al-Adab Al-Mufrad — Hadith #46719

Abdullah bin Saleh told us, saying: Muawiyah bin Saleh told me, on the authority of Abdul Rahman bin Jubayr bin Nufayr, on the authority of his father, on the authority of my father Al-Darda', because he used to say to the people: We know you better than the vets do the animals. We know your good ones from your bad ones. As for Your best: the one whose good is hoped for, and whose evil is safe. As for the worst of you: the one whose good is not hoped for, whose evil is not safe, and whose liberator is never freed.
