Al-Adab Al-Mufrad — Hadith #46964
Hadith #46964
Adam told us, he said: Shu`bah told us, on the authority of Ismail bin Abi Khaled, on the authority of Qais bin Abi Hazim, who said: We entered upon Khabbab and returned him. He recited seven verses, and said: Our companions of the predecessors have passed away, and the world has not diminished them, but we have been struck by what we cannot find. A place except dust. Had the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, not forbidden us from calling for death, I would have called for it.
