حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَبِي مُسْلِمٍ الأَغَرِّ حَدَّثَهُ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ: الْعِزُّ إِزَارِي، وَالْكِبْرِيَاءُ رِدَائِي، فَمَنْ نَازَعَنِي بِشَيْءٍ مِنْهُمَا عَذَّبْتُهُ.
Omar told us, he said: My father told us, he said: Al-Amash told us, he said: Abu Ishaq told us, on the authority of Abu Muslim Al-Aghar, he told him, on the authority of Abu Saeed Al-Khudri and Abu Hurairah, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: Pride is my garment, and pride is my robe, so whoever disputes with me in anything I tortured him from both of them...
