حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، سَمِعْتُ أَبَا إِسْحَاقَ، سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَةَ بْنَ حَزْنٍ يَقُولُ: تَفَاخَرَ أَهْلُ الإِبِلِ وَأَصْحَابُ الشَّاءِ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم: بُعِثَ مُوسَى وَهُوَ رَاعِي غَنَمٍ، وَبُعِثَ دَاوُدُ وَهُوَ رَاعٍ، وَبُعِثْتُ أَنَا وَأَنَا أَرْعَى غَنَمًا لأَهْلِي بِأَجْيَادِ.
Muhammad bin Bashar narrated to us, he said: Muhammad bin Jaafar narrated to us, he said: Shu’bah narrated to us, I heard Abu Ishaq, I heard Abdah bin Sadness says: The people of camels and the owners of sheep bragged, so the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: Moses was sent while he was a shepherd, and David was sent while he was A shepherd, and I was sent to herd sheep for my family in Ajyad.
