Hadith #47741
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ قَالَ: لاَ يَكُنْ حُبُّكَ كَلَفًا، وَلاَ بُغْضُكَ تَلَفًا، فَقُلْتُ: كَيْفَ ذَاكَ؟ قَالَ: إِذَا أَحْبَبْتَ كَلِفْتَ كَلَفَ الصَّبِيِّ، وَإِذَا أَبْغَضْتَ أَحْبَبْتَ لِصَاحِبِكَ التَّلَف.
Saeed bin Abi Maryam told us, he said: Muhammad bin Jafar told us, he said: Zayd bin Aslam told us, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Omar bin Al-Khattab. He said: Let your love not be harsh, nor let your hatred be harsh. So I said: How is that? He said: If you love, you will be harsh like a child, and if You hate and love loss for your companion.
