عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا أَنَّ بَعْضُ أَزْوَاجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قُلْنَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَيُّنَا أَسْرَعُ بِكَ لُحُوقًا؟ قَالَ: " أَطْوَلُكُنَّ يَدًا فَأَخَذُوا قَصَبَةً يَذْرَعُونَهَا فَكَانَت سَوْدَة أَطْوَلهنَّ يدا فَعلمنَا بعد أَنما كَانَت طُولُ يَدِهَا الصَّدَقَةَ وَكَانَتْ أَسْرَعَنَا لُحُوقًا بِهِ زَيْنَبُ وَكَانَتْ تُحِبُّ الصَّدَقَةَ. رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ. وَفِي رِوَايَةِ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسلم: «أَسْرَعكُنَّ لُحُوقا بَين أَطْوَلكُنَّ يَدًا» . قَالَتْ: فَكَانَتْ أَطْوَلَنَا يَدًا زَيْنَبُ؟ لِأَنَّهَا كَانَت تعْمل بِيَدِهَا وَتَتَصَدَّق
On the authority of Aisha, may God be pleased with her, that some of the wives of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said to the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, “Which of us will quickly catch up with you?” He said: “I have the longest hand among you.” So they took a reed and were pulling it, and it was black. The longest hand among them was black, so we later learned that it was only the length of her hand. Charity. Zainab was the fastest of us to catch up with him, and she loved charity. Narrated by Al-Bukhari. In Muslim’s narration, she said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “The quickest of you to catch up is among those with the longest hands.” She said: So Zainab had the longest hand among us? Because she was working with her hands And you give in charity
