Mishkat al-Masabih — Hadith #52243

On the authority of Jabir that a Jewish woman from the people of Khaybar poisoned a praying sheep and then presented it to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, took May God bless him and grant him peace. He ate from it, and a group of his companions ate with him. Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: Raise your hands. He sent to the Jewess, and he called her and said, ‘Have you poisoned this sheep?’ She said, ‘Who told you?’ He said, ‘It told me. This is in my hand for the arm.’ She said. Yes, she said, I said, “If he is a prophet, it will not harm him, but if he is not a prophet, we will be relieved of him.” Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, pardoned her. He did not punish her, and some of his companions who had eaten from the sheep died, and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, protested against his shoulder because of the one who had eaten from the sheep. Abu Hind measured him with a horn and a blade, and he was a slave of Banu Bayadah from the Ansar. Narrated by Abu Dawood And Al-Darimi
