And on the authority of Sahl Ibn al-Hanzaliyya that they walked with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, on the day of Hunayn, so they walked slowly until it was evening, when a knight came. So he said, O Messenger of God, I ascended to such-and-such mountain, and behold, I was standing on the ground with their hardships and blessings. They gathered at Hunayn, and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, smiled and said, “This is the spoils of the Muslims tomorrow, God willing.” Then he said, “Who will guard us tonight?” Anas bin Abi Marthad Al-Ghanawi said, “I am, O Messenger of God.” He said, “Ride.” So he rode his horse and said: “Meet this people.” Until you are at the top.” When we arrived in the morning, the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, went out to his prayer place and prostrated two rak’ahs, then said, “Have you felt your horse?” They said, “O Messenger of God, what is the matter?” We felt, so he responded with prayer, and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, began to pray while he turned to The path until, when he had finished the prayer, he said, “Rejoice, for your knight has come.” So he made us look through the trees in the path, and behold, he had come until he stopped. to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and he greeted him and said, “I set off until I was at the top of this mountain, where the Messenger of God commanded me.” God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him. When morning came, I looked at both camps and did not see anyone. So the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said to him: Have you come down tonight? He said, “No, except when praying or fulfilling a need.” The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Then you do not have to. “You will work later.” Narrated by Abu Dawood
