Mishkat al-Masabih — Hadith #52284

On the authority of Ja`far bin Muhammad, on the authority of his father, that a man from the Quraysh came to his father, Ali bin Al-Hussein, and said, “Shall I not tell you about the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace?” He said hello? He said: Yes, he told us on the authority of Abu Al-Qasim, may God bless him and grant him peace. He said: When the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, fell ill. Peace and blessings of God be upon him. Gabriel came to him and said: “O Muhammad, God has sent me to you as an honor and honor for you, especially for you, asking you about what He knows best.” With it from you, he said: How do you find yourself? He said: I find myself distressed, O Gabriel, and I find myself distressed, O Gabriel. Then he came to him the second day and told him that The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, responded to him as he responded on the first day. Then he came to him on the third day and said to him as he said the first day, and he responded to him as he responded. Then a king came with him, called: Ishmael, over a hundred thousand angels, each king over a hundred thousand angels. So he asked for permission. He asked him about it. Then Gabriel said: This is the angel of death seeking permission from you. He did not seek permission from any human being before you, nor will he seek permission from any human being after you. So he said: Give him permission. So he gave him permission and greeted him. Then he said: O Muhammad, God has sent me to you. If you command me to take your soul. I stayed, and if you ordered me to leave him, I would leave him. He said: And you do, O Angel of Death? He said: Yes, with that I was commanded and commanded to obey you. He said: Then the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, looked at Gabriel, peace be upon him, and Gabriel said: O Muhammad, God has longed to meet you, so he said The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said to the angel of death: “Go as you are commanded to do,” and his soul was taken. When the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, died, it came. Condolence: They heard a voice from the direction of the house: Peace be upon you, people of the house, and God’s mercy and blessings. Indeed, in God is a consolation from every calamity, a successor from every perish, and a deliverance from every loss. So trust in God and in Him hope, for the afflicted person is only he who is deprived of reward. Ali said: Do you know who this is? He is Al-Khidr, peace be upon him.
