أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ عَبَّادِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ " يَسْتَلِمُ الْحَجَرَ، ثُمَّ يُقَبِّلُهُ وَيَسْجُدُ عَلَيْهِ "، فَقُلْتُ لَهُ : مَا هَذَا؟ فَقَالَ : رَأَيْتُ خَالَكَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَبَّاسٍ رِضْوَانُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ يَفْعَلُهُ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ عُمَرَ فَعَلَهُ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : إِنِّي لَأَعْلَمُ أَنَّكَ حَجَرٌ، وَلَكِنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَفْعَلُ هَذَا
Abu Asim told us, on the authority of Ja’far bin Abdullah bin Uthman, who said: I saw Muhammad bin Abbad bin Ja’far receiving the stone, then He kisses it and prostrates on it.” I said to him: What is this? He said: I saw your uncle Abdullah bin Abbas, may God be pleased with him, doing it. Then he said: I saw Omar did it, then he said: I know that you are a stone, but I saw the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, doing this.
