Sunan ad-Darimi — Hadith #55155

Yahya bin Hammad told us, Aban bin Yazid told us, on the authority of Qatada, he said: Khalid bin `Urfafa wrote to me on the authority of Habib bin Salim: A boy was pushing a qarqur, and he fell on his wife’s maid, so it was brought to Al-Nu’man bin Bashir, and he said: “I will make a satisfactory judgment about it:” If If she made it permissible for him, I lashed him for a hundred, and if she did not make it permissible for him, I stoned him.” It was said to her: “Your husband!” and she said: “I have made it permissible for him.” So he struck him by a hundred. Yahya said: It is traceable. Sadaqa bin Al-Fadl told us, Muhammad bin Ja’far told us, on the authority of Shu’bah, on the authority of Ubayy. Bishr, on the authority of Khaled Ibn `Urfatah, on the authority of Habib Ibn Salim, on the authority of al-Numan Ibn Bashir, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, something similar.
