Sunan ad-Darimi — Hadith #55561

Abu Al-Mughirah told us, he said: Al-Awza’i told us, Asid bin Abdul Rahman told us, on the authority of Khalid bin Duraik, on the authority of Ibn Muhayriz. He said: I told Abu Jumah, a man of the Companions, who told us: A hadith that I heard from the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. He said: Yes. I will tell you a good story: We had lunch with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and with us was Abu Ubaidah ibn al-Jarrah. He said: O Messenger of God, someone Better than us? Did we submit to Islam and fight with you? He said: “Yes, there will be a people after you who will believe in me and have not seen me.”
