حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ : أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ :" لِيَنْصُرِ الرَّجُلُ أَخَاهُ ظَالِمًا أَوْ مَظْلُومًا، فَإِنْ كَانَ ظَالِمًا، فَلْيَنْهَهُ، فَإِنَّهُ لَهُ نُصْرَةٌ، وَإِنْ كَانَ مَظْلُومًا، فَلْيَنْصُرْهُ "
Abu Nu`aym told us, Zuhair told us, on the authority of Abu al-Zubayr, on the authority of Jabir: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Let the man be victorious.” Whether his brother is an oppressor or an oppressed person, if he is an oppressor, let him forbid him, for he will help him, but if he is an oppressor, let him support him.”
