أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَشْهَبِ : جَعْفَرُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ : أَنَّ عُبَيْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ زِيَادٍ عَادَ مَعْقِلَ بْنَ يَسَارٍ فِي مَرَضِهِ الَّذِي مَاتَ فِيهِ، فَقَالَ لَهُ مَعْقِلٌ : إِنِّي مُحَدِّثُكَ بِحَدِيثٍ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَوْ عَلِمْتُ أَنَّ بِي حَيَاةً مَا حَدَّثْتُكَ، إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ :" مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ يَسْتَرْعِيهِ اللَّهُ رَعِيَّةً، يَمُوتُ يَوْمَ يَمُوتُ، وَهُوَ غَاشٌّ لِرَعِيَّتِهِ، إِلَّا حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ الْجَنَّةَ "
Abu Nu'aym told us, Abu Al-Ashhab told us: Ja'far bin Hayyan, on the authority of Al-Hasan: that Ubayd Allah bin Ziyad returned Ma'qil bin Yasar in His illness in which he died, and Maqil said to him: I will narrate to you a hadith that I heard from the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, if I knew that In my life, I did not speak to you. I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, saying: “There is no servant whom God takes as his subjects, who dies on the day he dies. And he deceives his subjects, except that God will forbid him Paradise.”
