أَخْبَرَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ ، عَنْ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُبُ، فَقَالَ :" أَنْذَرْتُكُمْ النَّارَ، أَنْذَرْتُكُمْ النَّارَ، أَنْذَرْتُكُمْ النَّارَ " فَمَا زَالَ يَقُولُهَا حَتَّى لَوْ كَانَ فِي مَقَامِي هَذَا، لَسَمِعَهُ أَهْلُ السُّوقِ، حَتَّى سَقَطَتْ خَمِيصَةٌ كَانَتْ عَلَيْهِ عِنْدَ رِجْلَيْهِ
Uthman ibn Umar informed us, Shu`bah informed us, on the authority of Simak, on the authority of al-Nu`man ibn Bashir, he said: I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. He gives a sermon, and he says: “I warned you of the Fire, I warned you of the Fire, I warned you of the Fire.” He still says it even if he is in my position. The people of the market heard him, until a piece of clothing that was on him at his feet fell.
