Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #26255

This is a hadith with no reasoning. It is narrated on the authority of Thawr ibn Yazid other than Al-Walid ibn Muslim. Abu Issa said: I asked Abu Zur’ah and Muhammad ibn Ismail about This hadith, they said, is not authentic because Ibn al-Mubarak narrated this on the authority of Thawr, on the authority of Raja’ ibn Haywa. He said, “I narrated it on the authority of the writer of al-Mughirah.” It was sent on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and he did not mention al-Mughirah in it.
