Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #26165

Muhammad bin Ismail told us, Malik bin Ismail told us, on the authority of Israel bin Yunus, on the authority of Yusuf bin Abi Burdah, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Aisha, may God be pleased with her, said that when the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, came out of the toilet, he would say, “Your forgiveness.” Abu Issa said this is a good hadith. He is a stranger and we do not know him except from the hadith of Israel on the authority of Yusuf bin Abi Burdah. And Abu Burdah bin Abi Musa’s name is Amer bin Abdullah bin Qais Al-Ash’ari. We do not know about this topic except the hadith of Aisha, may God be pleased with her, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace.
