Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #26455

Ali bin Hajar told us, Abdullah bin Al-Mubarak told us, and Haql bin Ziyad told us, on the authority of Al-Awza’i, on the authority of Qurra bin Abdul Rahman, on the authority of Al-Zuhri, on the authority of Abu Salamah, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, he said, deleting the salaam is a Sunnah. Ali bin Hajar said, Abdullah bin Al-Mubarak said, meaning Not to extend it too long. Abu Issa said: This is a hasan and authentic hadith. It is what the people of knowledge recommend and it was narrated on the authority of Ibrahim al-Nakha’i. He said, “The takbir is decisive, and the greeting is decisive.” And it is said that he was the writer of Al-Awza’i.
