Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #29649

Sufyan bin Wakee’ told us, Ibn Abi Adi told us, on the authority of Hammad bin Salamah, on the authority of Abu Ja’far Al-Khattimi, on the authority of Muhammad bin Ka’b Al-Qurazi, On the authority of Abdullah bin Yazid Al-Khattimi Al-Ansari, on the authority of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, that he used to say in his supplications, “Oh God, grant me Your love and the love of whoever benefits me, his love with you, O God, whatever you have provided me with what I love, make it a strength for me in what you love, O God, and what you have removed from me of what I love So make it a free space for me in what you love.” Abu Issa said: This is a hasan ghareeb hadith, and Abu Ja`far al-Khattimi’s name is Umair ibn Yazid.
