Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #26521

Abdullah bin Abi Ziyad told us, Shababah bin Siwar told us, Muhammad bin Talha told us, on the authority of Humayd, on the authority of Thabit, on the authority of Anas, he said The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, prayed during his illness behind Abu Bakr, sitting in a garment and wearing it. Abu Issa said: This is a good and authentic hadith. He said, “And this is how Yahya bin Ayyub narrated it, on the authority of Humaid, on the authority of Thabit, on the authority of Anas. More than one person narrated it on the authority of Humaid, on the authority of Anas, but none of them narrated it.” They mention about it on the authority of Thabit. And whoever mentions about it on the authority of Thabit is more correct.
