Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #26523

Abdullah bin Abdul Rahman told us, Yazid bin Harun told us, on the authority of Al-Masoudi, on the authority of Ziyad bin Ulaqah, he said, Al-Mughirah led us in prayer. Ibn Shu'bah, when he prayed two rak'ahs, he stood up and did not sit, so those behind him said the Sublime to Him, and he motioned to them to stand up. When he finished his prayer He greeted and prostrated the two prostrations of forgetfulness and saluted and said, “This is what the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, did.” Abu Issa said, “This is a good and authentic hadith. It has been narrated.” This hadith is from more than one source, on the authority of Al-Mughirah bin Shu’bah, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace.
