Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #26672

Muhammad ibn Humayd al-Razi and Abbas ibn Muhammad al-Duri narrated to us, saying: Abu Abd al-Rahman al-Muqri narrated to us, on the authority of Sa`id ibn Abi Ayyub, Abu Marhum told me, on the authority of Sahl ibn Muadh, on the authority of his father, that the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, forbade habbwah on Friday. And the imam is giving the sermon. Abu Issa said, “This is a good hadith. And Abu Marhum’s name is Abd al-Rahim ibn Maymun. A group of people hated The people of knowledge were dear on Friday while the imam was delivering the sermon, and some of them permitted that, including Abdullah bin Omar and others, and he said: Ahmad Ishaq does not see the truth, and the imam delivers the sermon with difficulty.
