Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #26736

Qutaibah narrated to us, Ibn Lahi’ah narrated to us, on the authority of Musharh ibn Haa’an, on the authority of Uqba ibn Amir, he said: I said, O Messenger of God, Surat Al-Aqsa was preferred. Hajj because it contains two prostrations. The people of knowledge differed on this matter, and it was narrated on the authority of Omar Ibn Al-Khattab and Ibn Omar that they said that Surah Al-Hajj was preferred because it contains Two prostrations. And this is what Ibn al-Mubarak, Al-Shafi’i, Ahmad and Ishaq said. Some of them saw it as a prostration, and this is the saying of Sufyan. Al-Thawri, Malik, and the people of Kufa.
