Hadith #26826
Harun bin Ishaq Al-Hamdani told us, Abdul Razzaq told us, on the authority of Muammar, on the authority of Al-Zuhri, on the authority of Salim, on the authority of Ibn Umar, on the authority of Umar, that He got a horse for the sake of God, then he saw it being sold and wanted to buy it. The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “Do not count on your charity.” Abu Issa said: This is a good and authentic hadith. This is acted upon according to most people of knowledge.
