Mahmoud bin Ghaylan told us, Bishr bin Al-Sari told us, on the authority of Sufyan, on the authority of Talha bin Yahya, on the authority of Aisha bint Talha, on the authority of Aisha The Mother of the Believers, she said: The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, would come to me and say, “Do you have lunch?” and I would say, “No.” Then he would say, “I am fasting.” She said, “One day came to me and I said, ‘O Messenger of God, a gift has been given to us.’” He said, “What is it?” She said, “Hays.” He said, “As for me, I have been fasting in the morning.” She said, then he ate. Abu Issa said, “This is a good hadith.”
