Hadith #26946
Abd al-Wahhab bin Abd al-Hakam al-Baghdadi al-Warraq told us, and Abu Ammar al-Hussein bin Harith told us, they said: Yahya bin Sulaym told us, Ismail bin Kathir told me, he said: I heard Asim bin Laqit bin Sabra, on the authority of his father, he said: I said, O Messenger of God, tell me about ablution. He said: “Perform ablution thoroughly, pass between your fingers, and inhale deeply, unless you are fasting.” Abu Issa said: This is a hadith. Hassan Sahih. The people of knowledge disliked snuff for a fasting person and believed that this breaks his fast, and there is something in the hadith that strengthens their opinion.
