Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #27023

Bishr bin Hilal al-Sawwaf al-Basri told us, Abd al-Warith bin Sa`id and Abd al-Wahhab al-Thaqafi told us, on the authority of Khalid al-Hadha, on the authority of Ikrimah, on the authority of Ibn Abbas, said: The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, circumambulated on his camel, and when he reached the corner, he pointed to it. He said, and in the chapter On the authority of Jabir, Abu Tufayl, and Umm Salamah. Abu Issa said: The hadith of Ibn Abbas is a good and authentic hadith. Some of the people of knowledge disliked it. That a man circumambulates the Kaaba and between Safa and Marwah riding, unless he has an excuse. This is the opinion of Al-Shafi’i.
