Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #27033

Mahmoud bin Ghaylan narrated to us, Abu Dawud narrated to us, on the authority of Shu’bah, on the authority of Abu Ishaq, on the authority of Al-Aswad bin Yazid, that Ibn Al-Zubayr said to him Tell me about what the Mother of the Believers, meaning Aisha, used to tell you about. He said: She told me that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said to her: “If only If your people are new to pre-Islamic times, I would have demolished the Kaaba and made two gates for it.” He said, “When Ibn al-Zubayr became king, he demolished it and made It has two chapters. Abu Issa said: This is a good and authentic hadith.
