حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلاَنَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَمْرَو بْنَ مَيْمُونٍ، يُحَدِّثُ يَقُولُ كُنَّا وُقُوفًا بِجَمْعٍ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ إِنَّ الْمُشْرِكِينَ كَانُوا لاَ يُفِيضُونَ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ وَكَانُوا يَقُولُونَ أَشْرِقْ ثَبِيرُ . وَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم خَالَفَهُمْ . فَأَفَاضَ عُمَرُ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .
Mahmoud bin Ghaylan told us, Abu Dawud told us, he said Shu`bah told us, on the authority of Abu Ishaq, he said, I heard Amr bin Maymun, speaking, saying We were standing with a group, and Omar ibn al-Khattab said, “The polytheists did not go out until the sun rose, and they used to say, ‘Rise. Thubair. And the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, disagreed with them. So Omar spoke before sunrise. Abu Issa said, “This is a good and authentic hadith.”
