Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #27055

Muhammad bin Bashar narrated to us, Yahya bin Saeed Al-Qattan narrated to us, Ibn Jurayj narrated to us, on the authority of Abu Al-Zubayr, on the authority of Jabir, he said, I saw the Messenger of God May God’s prayers and peace be upon him. He stones the Jamarat like gravel. He said, and on the authority of Suleiman bin Amr bin Al-Ahwas, on the authority of his mother, who was Umm Jundub: Al-Azdiya, Ibn Abbas, Al-Fadl bin Abbas, Abd al-Rahman bin Uthman al-Taymi, and Abd al-Rahman bin Muadh. Abu al-Rahman said: Jesus, this is a good and authentic hadith. He is the one whom the scholars chose to make the stones that are thrown at be like pebbles for digging.
