Hadith #27101
Qutaibah narrated to us, Al-Layth narrated to us, on the authority of Abd al-Rahman bin al-Qasim, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Aisha, that she said: I mentioned to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace He said that Safiyya bint Huyya had menstruated during the days of Mina. He said, “She kept us imprisoned.” They said that she had menstruated. The Messenger of God said, God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, “No then.” He said, and in the chapter on the authority of Ibn Omar and Ibn Abbas. Abu Issa said the hadith of Aisha is a good and authentic hadith. The ruling on this according to the people of knowledge is that if a woman performs the Tawaf of Visitation and then menstruates, then she is separated and does not have to do anything. This is the opinion of Al-Thawri, Al-Shafi’i, Ahmad, and Ishaq.
